Hoosiers deserve a state that works for all of us.
Our report card needs improvement in some significant areas including
Education, Employment, the Environment, and Equality for All.
One of the most important things a government can do is steward our shared resources. In Indiana, we must do better in valuing and caring for our air, water, and soil. We must demand transparency and accountability by government and public entities. Angela will fight for stronger policy and legislation to protect our air, water and soil and keep Hoosiers healthy.
Our state has a tagline: A State that Works. We need to do more to live up to that statement. We can do better here in Indiana to support workers, to keep jobs here, and to bring in better jobs for the future. We should do more to re-skill workers who lose jobs. Angela believes in the rights of workers to organize and to negotiate. She believes in the Hoosier work ethic. Hoosiers want to work. We can do better enabling them with safe, well-paying opportunities.
We must do more to demonstrate that we value diversity and inclusion in our communities, locally and at the state level. Diverse representation and inclusion matter in our schools, in our businesses, in our neighborhoods, and in our government. More diversity in our statehouse will foster more debate and generate better ideas to serve our state and all Hoosiers. Angela will bring a fresh perspective to the statehouse and will work diligently to support local and state policies that demonstrate all are welcome and valued here. Diversity is a strength to be leveraged!

Angela Elliott is truly passionate about education. It is a critical issue facing Indiana right now, as evidenced by our teachers taking to the streets to demonstrate they need help from our state legislature. Our public education system has been undermined by poor policy decisions for many years. There are short-term actions to take to give relief to our teachers and students right now, and long-term strategic changes to be made to enable the public education system Hoosiers need for a thriving future. Adequate public education is a right guaranteed by our Indiana constitution. We can do better. Angela is committed to work for excellence in public education for all Hoosiers.
